IMPACT OF JOB STRESS ON EMPLOYEE SOCIAL LIFE: A STUDY TO TEST WORK-LIFE BALANCE

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the impact of job stress on social life of an employee. A sample of 221 respondents has been taken from different companies and banks. To find out cause and effect linear regression has been applied and reliability of the variables has been checked through cronch bach’s alpha. Research model has been developed on the basis of mentioned variables. The finding of the study concluded that job stress is positively affecting social life of an employee. Whereas long working hour also have a significant positive effect on an employee’s social life. Moreover work overload is also one of the factors which affect the life of a working man. Furthermore role conflict also plays an important role in creating stress which affects the social life of an employee. According to the results all of the factors create stress for employees so the organizations must develop or create such strategies which could minimize or reduce the stress at workplace.
